BeeBee Q Fest

Thanks to the swine hitting chez FGD, I'm totally behind in blogging these pics from last weekend's LA BBQ Fest.

Mr. FGD and I met up with bro-in-law FGD at the Santa Monica Pier for some bbq madness.

I generally have no sense of where I am most of the time anyway, but it seemed like we had to walk around a bunch of things to get to where bbq madness was happening.

(the above picture might be particularly funny if you knew how much Mr. FGD loves to torment me with clubbing baby seals comments...a particularly tragic topic to me)

Anyway, we finally settled into the non-vegetarian friendly arena. Mr. FGD headed straight towards the Memphis stuff...

...from....Vegas?

Poor piggly wiggly. I don't think Mr. Piggy would be sporting this bbq t-shirt.

Saucey fun.

So much for not taking blurry photos. Darn.

Yum. yum. Yum. yum. Yum.

Rowrrrrr.

California's representation. I don't think the FGD boys were very impressed. Actually, I think they just skipped right over the California booth. Damn Texans.

Reminiscing about the fine plates we had already enjoyed...

Yes, I'm 12. Shut it.

And if this picture doesn't give you the 12-year old giggles, go away. You are not my friend.

Smoked goodness...

My favorite part of bbq fest (nom nom nom):

I would think this place would be pure torture for a dog. Poor pup. I'd be begging too.

It would be an unusual outing with bro in law FGD if we didn't run into some of his gays, always well dressed even for a casual Sunday.

the one in the middle was the tastiest part of the day (NOM NOM NOM)!:

I took a few more random pics before we parted ways with bro in law...

I'm pretty sure this is what we all felt like after completing the BBQ fest rounds (like Route 66 shot glasses?). Until next year...

I especially like the picture of the dog wagging its tail! Says so much about the event.
