We landed in Hawaii and stayed in Waikiki for the first day and a half of our trip. Mr. FGD has some clients in Honolulu, so left me at the outdoor hotel bar with a cocktail and my US Weekly.
Our hotel, the Moana Surfrider, was fantastic. The service was great and they upgraded us to an oceanfront room with a huge balcony. Here's an image from the front of the hotel. Normally I hate old historic shit (the Moana Surfrider was the first hotel on Oahu), but for some reason I found this hotel beautiful.
The next day, the weather was shit. Gloomy all day and raining on and off. We drove around Oahu all morning. When we got back in the afternoon, I was a little bummed out about the weather so I decided I needed to explore Waikiki's shopping since it was not laying out on the beach weather. I came back with a little package.
